New York – 11/15/09 – Day 4

So I slacked off yesterday from taking pictures, but this post should make up for it. After whittling down from 450 pictures to 400, then narrowing down to the top 60-75 that I liked, I ended up with the pictures for this post. 48 pictures. There are a few in here that have two different…

New York – 11/13/09 – Day 2

So I headed out to Starbucks this morning to work a bit, and then I was headed over to B&H Photo Video. Love that store. However after walking what felt like 1000 blocks (to take some pictures along the way) I just missed them as they close early on Fridays (1:00pm). Oh well, better for…

Boston – 11/12/09 – Day 4

I’m actually going back and getting caught up on a few days of posts. This is the last day I was in Boston, and I headed over to the New England Aquarium. It’s a pretty cool place with a huge massive tank in the middle with a winding staircase that goes all the way up…

Boston – 11/09/09 – Day 2

Had a lunch meeting near the harbor today and decided to do a quick stroll before I headed back to the office. It’s funny that I felt like my visual “framing” was off today as I felt like I couldn’t see any of the shots that I wanted as I was walking around.

Boston – 11/08/09 – Day 1

Just got into Boston today and my hotel room wasn’t ready just quite yet. Made for the perfect time to set out for an hour or two and snap a bit of Boston and see what comes out. Got a few interesting ones and one lucky sighting (the owl) that made for a fun photostroll….

Portraits – 11/07/09 – The Majestic Waiter

Before Erika and I headed out on our photostroll around Krog St, we went to the Majestic Diner off E Ponce DeLeon for breakfast. I asked the waiter there, who I’ve seen a thousand times there during my visit, if he’d be up for me taking his picture. We was up for it, said “Let me get myself together,” adjusted his hair a bit, and struck this pose for a picture that I think is pretty cool.

Photostroll – 11/07/09 – Krog St.

Erika and I headed down into the city, near Krog St and the Krog St bridge today to take some pics. Here’s a few that I like from our day out in the city: (Side note: I split the pictures into two posts. Erika was nice enough to let me snap some pics of her…

Lens Envy

Erika and I went out today on a photostroll around the city. Awesome day, weather, and lots of things going on around the city which made for a fun day of taking pictures. Over breakfast I started talking about the lenses that I have on my “lens wish list” of lenses that I want to get over the next while. As I’m telling her this, she pulls the two main lenses I was describing out of her back. Immediately I felt the lens envy take over.

Portraits – Wendy

Had a fun lunch, and great conversation, with Wendy today at West Egg (love doing breakfast for lunch) and it was another killer day weather wise. Here’s a few pics from lunch:

Archived Photo – Shoulderbone Plantation

A good family friend of ours, Robert Lanier, has a beautiful place about an hour east of Atlanta called Shoulderbone Plantation. We try to go out there about once a year and have been camping and fishing there for as long as I can remember. Here’s one of my favorite pictures from one year that…

Portraits – Sandi

Went to lunch today with one of my favorite people, Sandi (Sanderton as I call her), and she put up with me for a bit as I shot some pics during lunch. Had an awesome lunch by the way at Six Feet Under, on the Westside, and you couldn’t get any better with the weather. Here’s a few pics from lunch.

Portraits – 11/02/09 – Paige, Kelly, Jax, Christina

It was Kierstin’s (The Monkey) birthday this weekend and while I was at the house I was playing with the 50mm 1.8 Nikon lens that I borrowed from a friend this weekend. (Thanks E.) The only thing about this particular lens is that it doesn’t auto-focus with the D5000 so you do need to do…
